Orange is the New Black
The main character – Piper Chapman – is convicted of a
crime that happened over a year ago! She was part of a drug ring and was being
sentenced 15 months in a women’s correctional facility – Litchfield. As we are introduced
to Piper’s quirky and somewhat humorous character, we see that her whole life
is planned out especially as she tries to read about what prison life is like
and how to ‘survive’. This episode slightly explores Litchfield and how Piper
needs to understand and fit in to the hierarchies and structure within the
prison.
We can tell from the pilot episode that this series is
going to be full of drama and a fight for survival for Piper in Litchfield!
Can’t wait to continue to see what happens next!!!
